Having recently started my journey into UX, I'm enthusiastic about putting my new skills and graphic design experience into practice in an innovative workspace.
During my time working in graphic design agencies I've become fascinated by typography and the use of colour and space to create harmonious layouts, both for digital and print material. I've worked for blue chip clients like L'Oréal, Schwarzkopf, Tipperary Water, Finches and Kennedys, and also for Government bodies like Bord Bia and the HSE.
Working as a freelance designer I discovered the complexities of working effectively with clients; the value and importance of using appropriate communication and methodologies. This was particularly relevant when working freelance with my own clients, which included Four Provinces brewing Company, San Sab Thai, NKD PIZZA, and many more...
As I deepen my knowledge of UX I always keep in mind that the user needs to be the priority in any project, so I work towards creating real values that matter, delivering the right products to them.
When I design, I design with the customer as the central focus.
Embracing my love for learning, I spent time during my maternity leave in 2018 studying Interaction design and also became a certified Yoga and Acroyoga instructor, both for adults and children.
I’m naturally drawn to communities and find myself spending a lot of time talking and organising activities while understanding all the members' needs. I’m not surprised that I eventually found my way to an industry that places so much value on people.
